Thames Valley SMEs benefit from BGF investment

Oxfordshire and Berkshire-based companies will be among 16 South East SMEs to benefit from a recently announced £137 million commitment from BGF (Business Growth Fund), an investment partner for growing companies in every sector of the economy. The pledge is part of a wider £2 billion venture promise by BGF across UK and Irish based SMEs. Technology solutions providers, Invenio, whose global headquarters are in Reading and AWS cloud‐based services business, HeleCloud (Maidenhead) are just two of the Thames Valley companies who have recently received BGF funding.

HeleCloud, an IT consultancy company specialising in highly sophisticated Cloud strategy, will benefit with £2 million from the agreement, with funding supporting the company’s continued growth and the development of its presence across Europe.

Invenio, a global leader in solving business challenges using IT solutions, are promised £11.6 million from the arrangement. With operations worldwide including 750 employees abroad and more than 60 employees based at its Reading Headquarters, Invenio chose to remain within the beating heart of the economy ‐ The Thames Valley.

Previously, the investment firm has financially supported Oxford‐based email marketing software group, Adestra, as well as, Reading‐based online garden retailer ‐ Primrose. Ongoing contributions into the region ensure that it continues to compete at an international level.
