Thames Valley region flies high as companies celebrate Queen’s Awards
Companies in the Thames Valley region were once again included in the 2020 Queen’s Award. This highlights the region’s prominent position as it continues to lead the UK in innovation, sustainable development and international trade.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is an awards programme for British businesses and other organisations who excel at international trade, innovation or sustainable development. They are the highest official UK awards for any British business.
Hear from a number of this year’s Thames Valley recipients:
Buckinghamshire-based, Hypnos Beds, have been recognised for Sustainable Development and for its ongoing commitment to sustainable and ethical manufacturing. The company received their first Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2017. The latest accolade comes after a decade of long commitment to sustainable production and operation, and in recognition of a series of sustainable innovation and design.

Innovative smart ticketing systems supplier, Ticketer, based in Hungerford (Berks) has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. Ticketer offers market-leading ticketing technology, combined with personalised, responsive support. The company was recognised due to demonstrating how its unique, ongoing, product innovation has significantly improved its own commercial performance over the last five years, whilst aiding operators across the sector to enhance their passenger proposition.

Nordson Corporation – Dage Precision Industries
Aylesbury-based, Dage Products, has grown its overseas sales by more than 50% over the last three years with profits increasing by almost 150%. It’s ongoing commitment to R&D , has enabled it to design and manufacture world-class, marketing leading Bond Test and X-ray inspection systems to meet the ever increasing technological demands of their customers.
