Faronics grow their EMEA presence in Bracknell
Faronics delivers software solutions to help manage, simplify and secure multi-user computing environments. Founded in 1996, the business is represented in the US, Canada, Singapore and across Europe. A privately-held company, Faronics has more than 30,000 customers worldwide, using over nine million licenses in over 150 countries.
Faronics chose the UK to set-up their first European operation in 2009. With UKTI’s help and support, identifying properties, providing information on company formation, tax, legal, HR and banking, working alongside the Thames Valley Chamber (TVCC), Faronics set-up an office first in Maidenhead and then, after a period of expansion, to Bracknell, Berkshire in 2009. This investment has helped Faronics continued growth as they have developed a strong global network of partners to deliver its award winning products, such as Faronics Deep Freeze; Anti-Executable; Anti-Virus; Power Save and WINSelect software and technology innovations that benefit educational institutions, healthcare facilities, libraries, government organizations and corporations alike.
Faronics initial plan to expand their client base and network in the UK and across Europe started from 2 employees in a managed work space. The business has since grown organically and the company was self-sufficient after a very short period of time. Out-growing their original office space, in July 2014, Faronics moved their EMEA office again, but within Bracknell, to their own leased space at Eastern Road. They now have 10 employees with plans to stay and continued growth.
Kristina Bell, Vice President, International at Faronics commented, “Faronics’ EMEA operation continues to support and grow our customer base in the UK and rest of Europe. With the recent launch of our Deep Freeze Cloud suite of services, our product lines are also evolving to meet the needs of our expanding client base. The UK and Bracknell especially, provides us with the best location to serve our local clients and neighbouring markets in nearby London and across Europe without the added cost. Our team lives local and when we look to fill new positions the Thames Valley talent pool in technology is vast. In addition, ‘connectivity’ to the rest of Europe, with London Heathrow on our doorstep, makes doing business within Europe easy. The help and support we initially received from UKTI and the Thames Valley Chamber was exemplary and eased our original investment decision. Our subsequent reinvestment is testament to how we feel about the UK and the Thames Valley and a commitment by Faronics that we are here to stay, will continue to grow, and will do so in one of the UK’s most successful economic locations for technology front runners”.
