12:50 14 September in Sectors

Winnersh Triangle has announced that Becton Dickinson (BD) – the global medical technology company – will be taking 44,000 sqft of office space, on what we understand to be a 10-year lease, at the business park, near Reading. Becton Dickinson is due to enter three floors of the newly constructed property at 1030 Eskdale Road in the Spring of 2017. Supported by the Chamber’s partners at the Department of International Trade, BD’s move to Winnersh Triangle sees the consolidation of the firm’s existing UK sites.

The press release quotes Mike Fairbourn, UK General Manager for BD, who said: “The move to the new site at Winnersh Triangle is a key enabler for our growth strategy for the future. The new offices will be home for commercial operations for all BD businesses in the UK, as well as support functions, technical services and a new Innovation Centre to host customers.”

Paul Britton, CEO of Thames Valley Chamber, comments “BD join a growing cluster of life science and healthcare companies based here in Berkshire and across the Thames Valley. Their investment re-affirms the reasons why global brands and innovators alike choose to stay in and invest in the Thames Valley”.  For more information on the press announcement see HERE.
