Following the success of the Transport forum, TVEP are setting up an engineering skills forum.
Utilities companies in the Thames Valley are concerned with the level of regeneration planned and the forecast of a skills shortage. Latest plans including CrossRail, Thameslink, M25 Widening, Heathrow T6 and redevelopment at Thames Gateway. CrossRail alone is expected to recruit over 12,000 workers.
The forum with therefore enable companies to address their issues and action plans with the help of the LSC, Business Link and educational establishments.
