"Thames Valley setting Reading
has much to offer our business.

It is one of the fastest growing IT hubs in the UK and opens up great scope for business engagements."

What are the global trends affecting a company’s decision to establish a base in the Thames Valley? What do such inward investors look for in the way of support to fuel their growth? Global technology company Fulcrum Logic is well placed to offer an opinion. It has made Reading the home of its Regional European Headquarters. Business network Thames Valley Economic Partnership (TVEP) supported this move with practical assistance.

A unique location - Fulcrum Logic has some 350 employees across the globe, skilled professionals who serve more than a hundred clients, including such top-flight names as Accenture, British Telecom, Microsoft, Renault and Sky. The company first opened for business in the UK in 2000, with a presence of just three people in Huddersfield. Six years on and with a move south, the UK workforce now numbers 45.

Rajesh Sinha, Chief Executive Officer of Fulcrum Logic, outlines the factors that make the Thames Valley so attractive to inward investors:

"Any relocation requires careful consideration and we thought long and hard about our move, but with its Thames Valley setting Reading has much to offer our business. It is one of the fastest growing IT hubs in the UK and opens up great scope for business engagements. Close analysis of our current and potential client base identified that 70-80% of our UK revenue is drawn from London and the South East. With its good communications, Reading is also strategically located, with easy access to some two-thirds of the UK’s total IT market."
